Yellow Fever Inoculations Required, Again
The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Tanzania, informed us that Yellow Fever Inoculations, which were removed in 2001, have been reinstated at all borders, ports and international airports. You must have a Yellow Fever vaccinations and documentation with you. You will be checked on arrival in Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro airports, even if you are not coming directly from another endemic area.
The good news is that Yellow Fever Vaccinations are provided at Kilimanjaro Airport for $US 50. On arrival the passengers must first go to the health desk then to Immigration desk. No passport will be accepted at Immigration desk without a stamp from health department. I don’t, however, believe that inoculations are available at borders. You would probably need to get this in Nairobi.
